ABP can meet the needs of anyone transporting dry-bulk cargoes into or out of the UK. Cargoes as diverse as cement, grain, calcium carbonate, cocoa, fertiliser, malting barley, marine-dredged aggregates, sugar and gypsum are regularly handled at either dedicated or common-user facilities. Deep-sea traffic can be accommodated at Immingham – the UK’s largest dry-bulk handling port – Southampton, Hull and Newport, and many other ABP ports accommodate short-sea services. Value-added services are offered by a number of ABP-operated facilities, including Immingham Bulk Park and Ipswich’s Coldock Terminal.
