Hull Steel Terminal, the UK’s first fully-enclosed steel-handling facility provides all-weather working. The ISO 9002-accredited terminal provides a ‘one-stop-shop’ for ship’s agency, cargo-handling, storage and distribution and offers 10,000 sq m of covered and a further area of open storage for non-weather-sensitive steel products.

Hull also handles steel and metal cargoes at a number of other terminals operated by Ahlmark Shipping UK Ltd in King George Dock and Rix Shipping Co Ltd in Alexandra Dock.

Hull Steel Terminal offers:

• accommodation for ships of up to 13.5 m air draught
• five 25-tonne overhead gantry cranes equipped with rotating coil clamps and backed up by two large-capacity fork lift trucks and a modern coil storage system that allows steel coils to be maintained in prime condition while awaiting collection
• 10,000 sq m of covered storage, plus a further area of open storage for non-weather-sensitive steel products
• a dedicated delivery corridor for road and rail distribution within the covered storage area
• a dedicated computer management system that enables maximum handling efficiency
• a full cargo-handling, agency and distribution service is offered
• ISO 9002 Quality Standard accreditation and UK Warehousing Association-approved facilities
