Steel and other metals

King's Lynn has considerable experience of the handling, storage and distribution of steel for major European blue-chip companies. Just-in-time deliveries of steel have been handled by ABP, in conjunction with S&T Shipping, for many years.

King’s Lynn offers:

  • handling equipment suitable for long products, coil, slab, sections and pipes 
  • dedicated transit sheds totalling 7,000 sq m 
  • extensive open-storage capacity, enabling the handling of long steel products such as coated pipes
  • facilities at Bentinck Dock, operated by Easco Ltd, for the storage and distribution of scrap metals
