Dry Bulks

Dry bulks have been the mainstay of Silloth’s trade for many years. High-quality, specially selected grain is imported and discharged directly into Carrs Flour Mills on the north side of New Dock. Significant tonnages of agribulks are imported for onward supply to the region’s farming industry.

Liquid Bulks

A storage and distribution facility for Prime Molasses is located at the port, capable of storing up to 6,000 tonnes of molasses.

Forest Products

The port imports woodpulp for use at the Innova Films Ltd factory at nearby Wigton. Silloth also has expertise in handling logs and wood products.
