ABP CONNECT’S EXXTOR TERMINAL WELCOMES NEW MANAGER
Danny Carmichael, 32, has been named as the new Terminal Operations Manager for ABP Connect’s Exxtor Terminal, the four-berth lo-lo and ro-ro terminal at Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Immingham. Mr Carmichael is currently completing his introduction to the terminal’s operations, with his appointment becoming fully effective on 1 November.
Mr Carmichael, who is married with two children, joined ABP in 1987 and has spent the last two years serving as the Stevedoring Manager at the Hull Steel Terminal, based at ABP’s Port of Hull. As Terminal Operations Manager, Mr Carmichael will become directly responsible for a wide range of day-to-day operational duties, including terminal administration, ship’s agency, security and gatehouse and co-ordinator functions.
Jeffe Baker, General Manager of the Exxtor Terminal, spoke of his delight at the new appointment:
“Given his considerable experience with the company, Danny was an excellent choice for this important role. I have every confidence that Danny’s commitment and drive will help ensure that the terminal continues to enjoy the success we’ve come to expect.”
