ASSOCIATED BRITISH PORTS SELLS TROON MARINA TO YACHT HAVENS GROUP LTD
Associated British Ports Holdings PLC (ABPH), the UK’s largest port operator, has today (Tuesday, 23 December) completed the sale of Troon Yacht Haven at its Port of Troon to Yacht Havens Group Ltd for £1.5 million.
ABPH had leased the 300-berth marina to Yacht Havens Group Ltd since 1995. The marina, which is fully serviced, comprises 18.5 acres of water and some five acres of land at the Port of Troon.
Commenting on this sale, Bo Lerenius, Group Chief Executive of ABPH, said:
“The successful completion of this sale is in line with our policy of disposing of non-operational port land, and will allow the group to focus on growth opportunities within its core ports and value-added businesses.”
Dylan Kalis, Managing Director, Yacht Havens Group Ltd, said:
“We are delighted to have acquired the freehold of Troon Yacht Haven – the business is thriving and we have plans to improve the site in the future.”
Yacht Havens Group Ltd owns and manages marinas in Scotland, Wales, and on the South Coast of England.
