ABP APPOINTS NEW MANAGER FOR LOWESTOFT HAVEN MARINA

Sarah Hanna, 38, has been appointed Marina Manager for Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Lowestoft Haven Marina. Currently the Marina Supervisor/Administrator, Sarah will take up her new position on 1 October 2005.

A primary school teacher by training, Sarah switched careers to become Marina Assistant at Lowestoft Haven Marina in December 2003 because of her love of sailing. Sarah and her daughter Abigail are in the process of restoring an 18-foot dinghy, which they intend to sail around the Norfolk Broads.

Lowestoft Haven Marina, opened in May 2004, offers a range of facilities, including a boat-repair workshop, yacht brokerage and restaurant. ABP plans to open a chandlery at the marina shortly. Last year, the 140-berth marina was awarded the Yacht Harbour Association’s prestigious four-star gold anchor rating – the organisation’s internationally recognised standard of quality for marinas.
