UK’S LARGEST PORT PUBLISHES LATEST GUIDE TO ITS BUSINESS The UK’s largest port*, Associated British Ports’ (ABP) Port of Grimsby & Immingham, has published its 2006/07 handbook, the definitive guide to its business. Covering the spectrum of Grimsby & Immingham’s terminals, facilities, services and trades handled, the 2006/07 handbook is packed with detailed information on every aspect of its wide-ranging operations. “From cars to containers, dry bulks to fish, we handle it all,” says ABP Grimsby & Immingham Port Director Nick Palmer. “We are the number-one port complex in the UK, and annually we handle approximately 10 per cent of the country’s entire seaborne trade. This handbook explains how ABP and the port community make this possible. It is also an invaluable guide for anyone wanting to benefit from the world-class service we offer.” The handbook includes Humber International Terminal 2 and Immingham Outer Harbour, the port’s newest dry bulks and ro-ro facilities. Built at a combined cost to ABP of £87 million, the terminals are the latest developments in ABP’s programme of investment in Immingham, which has seen the Company invest £141 million in new port facilities since 2000.
